Bound a recurring task clearly
A skill is useful when the same task is repeatedly explained: reviewing a proposal brief, turning a meeting into tasks or creating a report under fixed rules. We specify when the skill should apply, which inputs it needs and when clarification is required. It remains an understandable work component.
Instructions, references and test cases belong together
Anthropic describes skills as files containing descriptions, instructions and optional resources or scripts. We deliver a clear package with permitted sources, output format and example material. Scripts are added only when they make a specific calculation or check more reliable. Credentials do not belong in the files.
Exceptions reveal quality
The test set includes complete inputs, missing information and conflicting sources. The skill must identify unknowns and must not invent prices or commitments. We check whether it activates at the right time and meets the agreed quality criteria. Changes to the skill are rerun against the same cases.
Hand over a maintainable package
A named owner receives the version, sources, tests and change rules. Domain approval remains part of the workflow. Our skill and prompt templates offer an initial look at the structure. The system check establishes whether one skill is enough or additional data connections are needed.
