What the iOS feature actually does
Claude can prepare a new email draft and hand it to Mail through a preview. Anthropic explicitly excludes reading existing messages through this iOS feature. This guide therefore covers drafting on an iPhone. The feature does not establish automatic mailbox search or a confirmed native Apple Mail integration on a Mac.
Prepare a factual draft
Provide the goal, tone and facts needed for this message. One example is rescheduling with an already confirmed alternative date. Ask for missing details to be marked and review the draft before passing it to Mail. A simple draft does not require copying entire confidential correspondence into the chat.
Review in Mail and send yourself
Open the prepared content in Mail using the displayed card. Check the sending account, recipients, subject and body there. Send after that review. The test succeeds when the correct message is prepared in the intended account and cancellation leaves it unsent. Inbox access, attachments and automated batch processing need their own technical assessment.
